Natural Fibers

Do you prefer natural fibers? If not, maybe you should give them a try!  Many clothing products are made from natural and we don't often think about it.  Sheepskin coats, shearling, leather and others are the more obvious examples, but what about wool sweaters, scarves, socks, suits, dresses, slippers and more?  These are all examples of renewable resources that provide products for our everyday use.  While sheepskins, shearlings and leather could be considered as non-renewable for one particular animal, we never sell a skin that was taken only for that purpose.  When one of our lambs is used to supply the market with meat, the skin is sent for tanning so that it is not wasted.  Although some might consider a skin to be a byproduct of the slaughter process, we consider it wasteful to allow that skin to become nothing more than something for the landfill or compost pile.  
​We produce wool roving for hand spinners and crafters, felt for shoe inserts (and also crafting) and skins for comfort and warmth.  We use sheepskins on our car seats (cool in the summer, warm in the winter!), at the foot of our bed (our feet are never cold in the winter), and many customers use them in baby cribs.  We make our felt into shoe inserts that cushion your feet and extend the life of old shoes and make it available in plain squares so our can custom make inserts for your own shoes.  Please consider using natural fiber wherever you can to avoid plastics in the landfills and reduce materials that require extraction of resources from the earth.
